"Public Negativity Toward Lawyers: 

What Factors Contribute To It?"

As a self-presentation coach, I help independent professionals, many of 
whom are lawyers, who are struggling to present and promote themselves 
confidently and professionally with dignity ... so as to create visibility and 
credibility.

However, the public perception of lawyers tends to be negative. This makes 
their presenting and promoting themselves positively very difficult. It also
makes your working satisfactorily with lawyers more awkward and potentially 
frustrating.

Consequently, I am conducting a national survey. I'm doing this survey in 
two parts: Part One is to determine what lawyers perceive as the factors 
contributing to the public's negative perception of them.

And Part Two, the survey in which you are participating, is to determine 
the public's perception of what factors contribute to their lack of trust 
and negativity toward lawyers. 

All responses are anonymous.

The data can provide suggestions for ways for individual lawyers can enhance 
their trustworthiness, interpersonal skills, and professionalism so that they can 
benefit you, as a client, and the public more as well as be viewed more favorably 
as a result.
